Expressive Arts Studio

An intermodal expressive arts studio space for women to join a unique, trauma-informed 6-week e
xpressive arts studio.
The world is increasingly challenging, and there are few spaces in which we can process and explore our feelings and the relationship between our inner and outer landscapes. We will create and hold space for ourselves and acknowledge this and our other intersecting identities. Many of us carry complex and often marginalized identities, which can make living challenging. Our voices often feel small. In a world defined by polarization, this space will be set up to create and collaborate on ways to be in the world that celebrate our uniqueness and build community, using expressive arts as the base. With this vision, we will set our intentions each week to find ways to enter the world, using new ways to navigate patterns that no longer serve us. To do this, we begin by reclaiming ourselves and holding space. Our time together will incorporate using our voices, sound, visual art, journaling, and movement, individually and collectively, to imagine and bring forth our strengths and our voices in an intersectional way that allows all women’s identities to be present and valued. Each group will allow for creative time and sharing.
When: Mondays, March 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, April 6 @ 4-6 pm.
$ 30-45 per session by sliding scale per session
